CATS Fellowships

The Centre for Applied Turkey Studies (CATS) at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin annually awards three fellowships up to 12 months to post-doctoral students and experienced researchers. Fellows will receive a monthly grant of €2,800.

Applicants have to prove extensive research experience and a significant publication record. Ideally, the fellow should be involved in a research project that is funded in the framework of CATS Network; the application of both project and CATS fellow thus should be interconnected.

Unless the fellows are required to travel to complete their individual projects, they are encouraged to reside in Berlin or Brussels for the duration of their fellowship where they have the chance to collaborate with CATS and other SWP colleagues.

Research results will appear in the form of peer-reviewed CATS publications. The working languages are English and/or German.
