CATS annually offers funding for policy-oriented research projects on specific topics related to Turkey’s domestic politics and foreign policy. By fostering research and exchange among the project partners, the grants contribute to a deeper understanding and pluralistic debate within the CATS Network. The projects will offer important insights to policymakers and the wider public.
Think tanks and research institutions from Europe, Turkey, and other countries are eligible to apply. Applicant institutions must be officially recognised non-profit organisations (NGOs) or other legitimate organisations doing work for the public good. The CATS Network strongly encourages joint applications from two or more institutions.
A jury will evaluate project applications according to various criteria, including innovativeness, quality, expected outputs, value for policy advice, academic profile, cost effectiveness and feasibility. Grant money may be used to cover salaries, honoraria, travel expenses and costs for events and publications.
CATS will publish the grant application (topic, application deadline, further requirements) on this website as well as on Twitter. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to receive an e-mail when the Call for Applications goes online.
