The Ankara Institute also focuses on foreign policy issues. It runs the website perspektif.online in Turkish as a pluralist discussion platform.

The Austrian Institute for International Affairs (oiip) is an independent research institute founded in 1979 and committed to fundamental research in the field of international politics. The oiip is Austria’s leading institute on international politics at the juncture between academic and policy oriented research. Besides publishing the researchers are engaged in teaching and policy consultancy.

The Institute of Environmental Sciences is an interdisciplinary establishment founded in 1982 at Boğaziçi University. The institute aims to equip professional environmental scientists, engineers and researchers, with the skills to investigate the complexities of environmental problems, propose scientifically and economically meaningful solutions, develop recommendations for sound policies, and devise means for policy implementation.

The Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation (CET) was established in 2016 by the Faculty of Social Science at the University of Bergen. As a hub for interdisciplinary social science research, CET produces actionable knowledge that can inform policy and practice about how to achieve deep, rapid and sustainable transformation of society to mitigate climate change. 

The Center for Foreign Policy and Peace Research (CFPPR) aims to develop agendas and promote policies that contribute to the peaceful resolution of international and inter-communal conflicts, particularly in the regions surrounding Turkey, through analyzing and interpreting contemporary policies from a critical, comparative, but also constructive, and peace-oriented perspective. Together with All Azimuth, it provides a platform for homegrown international relations and foreign policy research conceptualizations

The Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University pursues applied and policy-oriented research on a number of pressing international challenges. It aims to increase understanding, promote debate, and enhance cooperation in the areas of foreign policy, security, governance, youth leadership, and sustainable development, inter alia, with a geographical focus on the European Union, Turkey, and their immediate neighbourhoods.

Clingendael - the Netherlands Institute of International Relations - is a leading think tank and academy on international affairs. Through its analyses, training and public debate Clingendael aims to inspire and equip governments, businesses, and civil society in order to contribute to a secure, sustainable and just world. 

The Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria (also known as the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute, BDI) acts both as a leading diplomatic training institution in Bulgaria and a think-tank, offering in-depth policy research on regional and global issues. The BDI research activities have been operationalised through research groups on EU Affairs, Balkan Studies and China Studies.

TEPAV serves public and private actors in Turkey and its region by generating policy advice and building platforms for public dialogue.

The Economic Development Foundation (IKV) is a non-governmental, non-profit research organisation founded in 1965. It aims to contribute to Turkey’s external relations particularly its relations with and gradual integration to the European Union by way of its research, publication and dissemination activities. It is based in Istanbul with a representative Office in Brussels. IKV hosts an EU documentation center and the Istanbul EU Information Center.

Founded in 1979, the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri) is the leading independent research and debate institution in France dedicated to the analysis of international issues and global governance. Ifri's expertise is intended for political and economic decision-makers as well as academics, opinion leaders and civil society representatives. Ifri is ranked 3rd most influential think tank in the world according to the University of Pennsylvania’s “Global Think Tank Report 2019”.

The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is an independent, non-governmental, nonprofit think tank, established in Athens, Greece, in 1988. Its mission is to conduct policy-oriented research and provide policy makers, academics and the public with authoritative information and substantiated policy recommendations, to contribute to the development of evidence-based responses to major European and foreign policy challenges.

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is an international institute that owes allegiance to no government. It is a registered UK charity and company. Its core objective is to promote the development of sound policies that further global peace and security, and maintain civilised international relations. IISS experts work from five offices in London, Washington DC, Berlin, Bahrain and Singapore. They carry out fact-based research, convene and frame discussions, and produce publications including the Military Balance, the definitive annual assessment of defence capabilities, and Survival, the global politics and strategy journal. The IISS organises and convenes conferences including the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue and IISS Manama Dialogue, world-leading forums for the discussion of security issues. IISS research helps governments, academics, the media and the private sector.

The Institute of International Relations (I.I.R.) of Panteion University of Athens was established in 1989. Its goal is the promotion of research and activity in the field of International Relations, Politics, Security and Defense, Democratization and Human Rights, as well as Economics with a special focus on the European Union, Southeastern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East region. Furthermore, I.I.R. is fostering the development of networks among academics, diplomats, policymakers and students.

The Institute of International Relations Prague (IIR) is an independent public research institution that conducts academic and policy research in the field of international politics, contributes to the formation of Czech foreign policy, and aims at increasing awareness of issues of international relations among professionals and the public. Its expertise grows from theoretical diversity, intellectual rigor, and advanced analytical research methods.

The International Relations Council of Turkey (IRCT) is a non-profit association of IR scholars, diplomats and practitioners, established in 2004, to conduct projects, conferences and educational programs. Major activities of IRCT are a biannual Convention since 2005, quarterly journal Uluslararası İlişkiler, indexed by SSCI, the Security Academy since 2008, the Foreign Policy Academy since 2015, Security Portal since 2019, and regular seminars, conferences, brainstorming events.”

Founded as an independent, non-profit organisation committed to the promotion of studies in the social sciences and humanities, the Istanbul Institute for Advanced Studies (IST-IAS) employs a unique research scheme and management model in which research is divided into four autonomous areas: Legal Studies, International/Political Affairs, Political Economy Studies, and Social and Cultural Studies. Each research cluster is represented within the institute and has the status of a research centre to promote its activities.

Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) is a global policy research institution that specializes in key social and political issues ranging from democratization to climate change, transatlantic relations to conflict resolution and mediation. Since 2001, IPC has provided decision makers, opinion leaders, and other major stakeholders with objective analyses and innovative policy recommendations.

The Istanbul Political Research Institute (IstanPol) is an Istanbul based independent think tank focusing on democratization, human and social development, and foreign policy. The institute aims to influence the policy-making processes through research-based analyses and inclusive policy proposals. IstanPol brings in the perspectives of young scholars on policy agendas by collaborating with senior experts in academia, civil society, and public institutions.  

The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) is a private, independent non-profit think tank, founded in 1965 on the initiative of Altiero Spinelli. It seeks to promote awareness of international politics and contribute to the advancement of European integration and multilateral cooperation. IAI is part of a vast international network, and interacts and cooperates with the government and its ministries, European and international institutions, universities, major national economic actors, the media and the most authoritative international think tanks.

The Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEAS) at Kadir Has University trains graduates who are qualified for the needs and expectations of the national and the competitive world markets. The qualities that are sought in a qualified candidate to work in international competitive businesses environment are: the ability to speak at least one foreign language; to have gained work experience during undergraduate education; and to have an open mind and necessary skills to operate in different cultures.

Contemporary Turkish Studies at London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) focuses on the politics and economy of Türkiye and its relations with the rest of Europe. Based at the European Institute, its specific mission is to provide academic leadership in Turkish studies through interdisciplinary and critical research, as well as public activities.

Medyascope is an independent video-based, online news outlet that provides in-depth, objective analysis of political, economic and social developments in Turkey. In addition, Medyascope dedicates significant programming to issues affecting minorities, LGBTQI+, migrants, women and children, among other marginalized groups. Medyascope holds itself to international journalistic standards for ethical and quality reporting. Medyascope is the holder of the International Press Institute’s (IPI) Free Media Pioneer Award (2016) and Reporters Without Borders’ Press Freedom Award (2017).

The Department of Political Science and International Relations at MEF University, which is composed of distinguished faculty members with considerable expertise and outstanding publication record, offers a contemporary and comprehensive curriculum comprising diverse areas of political science and international relations. Faculty members have been part of internationally recognized competitive projects, and have been awarded a generous grant by the Stanton Foundation Course Development Program in Nuclear Security in 2015, and the Jean Monnet Chair by the European Commission in 2020.

The Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) is a leading Central European think tank that positions itself between the world of politics and independent analysis. PISM provides analytical support to decisionmakers and diplomats, initiates public debate and disseminates expert knowledge about contemporary international relations. The work of PISM is guided by the conviction that the decision-making process in international relations should be based on knowledge that comes from reliable and valid research.

Sabancı Business School (ARAMA Chair) is a Faculty at Sabancı University which offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate degrees in Management as well as Executive Programs at the graduate level in Management, Finance and Business Analytics. ARAMA is a Chair founded at the Sabancı Business School in 2020 to develop and to promote Action Research.

The Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies (SUITS) is an independent research institute that seeks to contribute to a broad and balanced understanding of Turkish affairs by producing and disseminating high quality scholarship. Research conducted at SUITS is interdisciplinary and covers both academic and more policy-oriented topics. SUITS is funded by Stockholm University and external research grants.

The Turkish-German University (TAU) is a Turkish state university that was founded by an intergovernmental agreement between Turkey and Germany in 2010. With its unique structure TAU aims to combine the finest features of Turkish & German higher education traditions. TAU can build on the experience of a consortium of more than 30 German universities, including Free University Berlin & University of Cologne.

The Turkish German University Research Center for Migration and Integration (TAGU) was founded in 2017 as a subject-specific research center of the Rectorate. TAGU intends to respond to the needs of the rapidly growing migration research in the world and Turkey. TAGU also aims to provide scientific contributions to the relations between Turkey and Germany. The TAGU is a multidisciplinary migration research center and has two important areas: 1. Refugees in Turkey and Europe. 2. Turkish migrants and diaspora in Europe.

The Women in Foreign Policy (WFP14) Initiative of Turkey was established to promote women’s voices on security issues; to encourage female participation in foreign policy decision-making at all levels, with bottom-up and nonhierarchical approaches. WFP14 aims to include women’s perspectives in all areas of international relations by encouraging young women to become leaders in foreign policy fields.

Yaşar University Center for Mediterranean Studies is a multidisciplinary research hub that specializes in political, social and ecological issues in the Mediterranean Basin. It fosters academic research and provides a platform for exchange of ideas between academics, policy-makers and students about the Mediterranean Basin.
