CATS Fellowships

Each year CATS awards three fellowships of up to twelve months. The prize is intended for post-docs, experienced researchers and practitioners working on issues related to Turkey. Applicants must prove extensive research experience and significant publication records.

Fellows will receive a monthly grant of €2,800 and some support for travel. Applicants may link the content of their application with an institution’s application for project funding (CATS Project Funding).

Unless fellows need to travel to complete their individual projects, they are encouraged to reside in Berlin or Brussels for the duration of their fellowship. This will give them opportunities to collaborate with CATS and other SWP colleagues.

Research results will appear in the form of peer-reviewed CATS publications. The working languages are English and/or German.

CATS will publish the call for fellowship applications (topic, deadline for application, further requirements) on this website as well as on Twitter. To receive e-mail notification when the Call for Applications is posted, please contact us at cats@swp-berlin.org.
